Saalgiraah is all about love and the inability of the institution of modern marriage to accommodate it gracefully. It is about a couple who can't live without each other, but on their 15th wedding anniversary decide that they can't live together, either. Impulse overcomes good sense and they separate. But the bonds established over 18 years do not permit a clean break. The couple continue to meet and a keep a track of each other's lives. After 10 years of self inflicted torture, prudence prevails. The couple decide to compensate their misery and get together just days before their son's marriage. |
